COMPOSTABLE Single-Use DINNERWARE
Compostable Disposables are . . .
Any material that degrades through the controlled biological decomposition of organic matter in the presence of water, heat, and/or bacteria in a composting facility.
Compostable disposables return valuable nutrients to the soil.
EarthsenseTM Raw Material
EarthsenseTM is made from Cereplast; an FDA compliant material made from natural renewable resources, such as corn, tapioca, or starch with Polylactic Acid (PLA) and filler. As noted on Cereplast's website (http://www.cereplast.com), products produced with Cereplast are fully compostable in commercial composting facilities.
Cereplast products must be segregated at the user level to ensure that they are properly transported to a commercial composting facility. The natural process of composting allows greenhouse gas emissions (carbon dioxide) to sequestrate in soil versus being released into the atmosphere.
